People advised over critical health insurance
10 September 2008
It is advisable to take out critical health insurance with your life insurance policy, claims the Association of British Insurers (ABI).
According to the ABI, critical health insurance is especially important if people have any kind of financial liability that getting any critical illness would jeopardise the payment of.
Jonathan French, spokesperson for the ABI, said: "You don't need to do anything but it is advisable to take out critical illness insurance as well as life insurance."
Mr French states that the most important thing is that any individual who is taking out life and protection insurance makes sure that they get the most appropriate type of insurance for them.
"The key is to make sure that with any given individual you get the right type and the right mix of protection insurance for your individual and family circumstances," he added.
According to Prudential, when it comes to the type of protection Brits value most, life insurance is at the top of the list for 35 per cent of people.
