Couples should consider wedding insurance
19 June 2008
Wedding insurance is a must for any couples planning their big day, claims hitched.co.uk.
As weddings are increasingly expensive and unpredictable occasions, taking out cover against cancellation and protecting the cost of gifts, rings and the wedding dress is essential, according to the wedding advice website.
Francesca Moore, spokesperson for wedding website hitched.co.uk, said: "hitched.co.uk would recommend taking out wedding insurance right at the beginning or as soon as the first major expenditure has been booked, bought or hired."
Wedding insurance should be the first thing couples think of when organising their ceremony and by shopping around they can find a good deal which will not be too expensive, advises hitched.co.uk.
"Including the insurance into the wedding budget and the beginning of your wedding planning is important, and shouldn't be forgotten. Shop around and make sure that the one you go for covers everything that you may require," said Ms Moore.
According to hitched.co.uk, the average wedding costs around £17,800.
