Credit Card firms reduce junk mail

The amount of junk mail we usually receive in the post has fallen. Companies from credit card firms to telecom giants are sending out fewer items of unwanted post.

Around 3 billion items of junk mail were sent out in the last year, however the amount of money companies are spending on junk mail was reported to be down by 6.2%.

Finance firms account for £523million of the total spent on junk mail. These companies have cut back by 3.5%.

Mail order firms who account for £353million cut spending on junk mail buy a massive 20%.
