Consumers urged to seek financial advice
03 September 2008
It is increasingly important that consumers get the best financial advice in the current economic climate, claims an independent financial advisor.
According to Bestinvest, the credit crunch is distorting the economy and making consumers concerned so if they want to get advice on investment or how to find loan deals and the best mortgage deals they should ask for help.
Adrian Lowcock, senior investment advisor at Bestinvest, said: "Seeking investment advice can be quite a critical tool and it doesn't necessarily cost anymore. If you are in a situation where you are investing it is quite useful to look for companies who can help you and give you advice."
Mr Lowcock argues that with the markets falling, now is the most appropriate time to get investment advice.
The Building Societies Association reported that, for the first half of 2008, building societies saw record savings inflows of £6,296 million compared to just £3,862 million in the first six months of 2007.
